YEAH Stephanie!

Well... Stephanie passed her test to get into the nursing program! YEAH... way to go... I'm REALLY proud of her! So today I rewarded her by letting her sleep in while I got up early with the girls. (Check out the new bedspread... that was her b-day present. I really like it!)

Shopping

Today was the day for "spring clothes" shopping with Haley & Makayla. As we walked in the door we were greeted with CANDY... and a 30% off wrapper! YIPPEEE... I love a sale! ;) Then I took pics of the 2 cuties.

Flame

Today was a busy day for pictures! ;) The weather just "had" to be posted. I thought this was an interesting picture. It looks like a gold container, but it's actually a clear glass container with a candle.

Green Leaf

I was trying to get a picture of the rain drops today. This was the best I could come up with!

Bad Weather

After work today I drove into Waco to the sound of the "tornado siren" going off. After a brief stop to take cover in a store, I made my way to the house. It hailed (top picture) and the water was so bad that the roads were totally covered. Stephanie was stranded at Ryans so I had to get out and make my way to get the girls. The bottom picture is what I drove through when the water was up and over the road.; however, luckily it wasn't rushing that fast yet (or I wouldn't have driven through it). Needless to say it was SCAREY... but we are all safe & sound!!!!

Wild Flowers

There are so many different types of wildflowers beginning to bloom that I can't resist taking pictures of them. I have no idea what the top flower "thingy" is. It looks like maybe some sort of blooming cactus? I was surprised how clear the yellow flowers show up when you click on the picture! Hope you enjoy...

A Field of Yellow

This field was covered with yellow flowers. I don't know what kind they are, but I thought it was a pretty view.

Happy Birthday to Haley! She's 6 years old today... hard to believe how she has grown!

My "Green" Color

I Am Olive Green

You are the most real of all the green shades. You're always true to yourself.
For you, authenticity and honesty are very important... both in others and yourself.
You are grounded and secure. It takes a lot to shake you.
People see you as dependable, probably the most dependable person they know.

Flags

The day of the flag and patriotism... hoping that soon everyone can come together for the good of the country! This 1st picture was taken early this morning and the wind was blowing really hard. It looks blurry, but the wind was making it ripple. The 2nd picture is a yard flag that I got at a garage sale last weekend. It sits by my front porch.

MOO

This one's for Susan! Since she spotted the cows in my "country road" picture! I took it the same day I took the picture of the country road. Thank GOODNESS that fence was between me and the cow! In fact... I wouldn't even get out of the car... this picture was taken through the window. Call me a CHICKEN!! *lol* Anyway, I thought it was a pretty neat picture of the cow!

Fly Away...

This butterfly hangs outside Jeanna's back porch. I thought it was so colorful! Jeanna thought I was crazy taking pictures of everything in sight. She wouldn't let me take a picture of her because she didn't have makeup on... so... NEXT time!!

Mr. & Mrs. Froggie

These were some "frogs" that Jeanna had on her porch. I thought they were cute! We spent alot of time just visiting on her back porch this weekend. We had a really relaxing time.

Bell & Fence

Stephanie & I were driving around Waco looking for an estate sale when I spotted this bell in someones yard. She stopped in the middle of the street and I jumped out and started snapping pictures. Luckily noone was home to wonder what in the world I was doing! I think I like the one of the fence the best.

The Journey

This picture symbolizes my journey down a new path. I was driving around during lunch today and took this little back road. It was so peaceful and beautiful. I could have continued down this road for hours... but then I realized my lunch break was almost over! So back to work I went...

Country Church

I've been driving the same road back and forth to work for over 2 years now and I've never noticed this church until yesterday. Since buying my digital camera and starting this blog I find myself being more observant everywhere I go. This church was set way off the road out in the middle of nowhere, so today I took the little country road back to it and stopped and took pictures. There was a small cemetary to the right of it, and I may go back and walk around one day. I bet there are some old headstones in this little out of the way place.

Bluebonnets

I love the bluebonnets! I "think" it's the state flower of Texas... if not, it should be! This was a "lone" bluebonnet along the side of the road, but I know soon they will cover the sides of the roads. I'm sure I will post more bluebonnets before the season is over.
